How to Jump to Any Page in a Long PDF (Type a Page Number)

October 8, 2026 · 2 min read

Stepping through a 600-page PDF one page at a time to reach page 10 (or page 480) is painful. PdfRuler lets you go straight there.

How to go to a page

  1. Open a PDF with more than one page. The page switcher appears at the bottom right of the window.
  2. Click the page number, type the page you want and press Enter. Clicking away works too.
  3. Press Esc to cancel without moving.

A number past the end goes to the last page, and anything below 1 goes to page 1.

The page switcher at the bottom right: first, previous, a page number you can type into, next and last. Zoom sits at the bottom left.

First and last page

The double arrows jump to the first or last page, and the single arrows step one page back or forward. Buttons that cannot go any further are dimmed.

What happens to your measurements

Points and guides belong to one page, so they clear when you change page. Save a copy first if you want to keep them. Every page is measured on its own size, so a mixed-size document reads correctly page by page.
